Scientists suspect you would have to eat vast amounts of shellfish to be at risk, straining even Belgian diets where moules et frites mussels and French fries are a favourite dish. Past surveys have found microplastics off nations including China, Chile, Canada, Britain and Belgium stock image Professor Richard Thompson, an expert on microplastics at Plymouth University, said: The impact of microplastics’ on marine life or humans when eaten is unclear. Scientists suspect you would have to eat vast amounts of shellfish to be at risk, straining even Belgian diets where moules et frites mussels and French fries are a favourite dish stock image Professor Thompson’s research has shown that extremely high levels of plastics in the seabed can harm animals such as lugworms living in the seabed and build up in their tissues. But most bits of plastic simply pass through the guts of creatures from shellfish to humans. Professor Thompson said human exposure to microplastics in seafood was likely to be below that from everyday plastics ranging from toys to fleece jackets. Britain, which has promised a series of radical measures to reduce the environmental harm caused by the menace, is expected to back the plan. Environment Secretary Michael Gove is introducing legislation to ban the use of plastic microbeads in beauty and personal care products.
Alex Turner of the Arctic Monkeys is embracing his inner rock god. No patting of kangaroos or petting of koalas on a day-off visit to a wildlife park. No outrageous boat cruise replete with supermodels and litres of French bubbles.
Arctic Monkeys (but c’mon, it’s just “The Alex Turner Experience” by now) have decided to ditch the “catchy blues rock for your mum” style from dating terrible women, drinking and doing drugs, and being barred from entry into clubs. (Ah, the good ol’ days).

Last night we had a bit of a margarita night. We got a few fans that we got to know from Nottingham and they sorted us a few gigs. But the whole day is different. Someone from our label gave us a box of DVDs to watch. And we all kind of latched on to that phrase. Maybe like you do when you watch a film and say lines out of it for the next day or whatever.

Messenger Arctic Monkeys became members of a club they would probably have rather avoided recently. Joining the likes of Take That, Jimmy Carr and Anne Robinson, they became the latest celebrities to be vilified for tax avoidance. In my view, such hostility towards tax avoidance looks misguided and unjustified.
The onus is on those who vilify tax avoiders to give good grounds for their moral condemnation. Rhetoric, name-calling and expressions of deeply felt disapproval are no substitute for rational arguments. When the attacks are directed towards specified tax avoiders, there is even more need to substantiate them.

What can I say? Is something else going to happen? So you might be wondering what exactly I think is so bad about this video. Well all of those I agree with. What I want to know is this; what was it about this song that required a video involving illustrations of sexualised, identikit women dancing all over the place? The male gaze is where we see something filmed or in this case, illustrated through the perspective of what the media think men want to see.
So that video mentioned a technique known as fragmentation. This, as explained, is where we see lots of fragmented shots of body parts, usually of women. This tends to force the viewer to see women not for their intelligence or their personality, but for their body and whether that body is appealing or not. The problem with this video is that that fragmentation is used in abundance. Here are some examples of the use of fragmentation in the video: So ten points for who can decode this enigma of an innuendo.
